We we’re originally tasked with producing the website for Cocoa Amore, since then they’ve changed the site to suit their needs more so in their current situation. However, the website we built below was suited very much to their needs when they required it.
Cocoa Amore is a chocolate shop based in Leicester where everything is hand made in the shop. The idea behind it is to give the customers an experience and go through the journey of chocolate to develop a love for it which they didn’t know existed before. With this in mind, we wanted our website to give the same experience.
We created a feel of the experience of chocolate from where it comes from, hence the cocoa beans in the background. Automatically we were already creating an experience of beginning of chocolate. The website sticking to the branding of the company and the colours of chocolate was to give a silky smooth feel. Through the site was information about the owner himself, again to develop this journey and not just talk about how great chocolate is – because everybody already knows how great it is right?
To show the awards and clients Cocoa Amore has worked with just adds more to the whole experience of the website and the company itself. This wasn’t just an ordinary chocolate shop it was a chocolate shop that gave you a memory to remember.
Cocoa Amore has worked with some pretty big clients. Therefore the graphics created had to resemble that status, as a result they all had to be clear so when they were printed, important information like the flavour and name of chocolate pieces was easy to read. Plus we only had a small area to work on, too fancy and you miss the important information!
